Celebrating NAIDOC week

9 July 2025

This week is NAIDOC Week, themed as The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy. The Centre for Online Health would like to wish everyone a great week celebrating the history, culture and exceptional achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year marks the 50th year of NAIDOC Week, commemorating years of this tradition of week-long festivities.

We acknowledge it is a long road ahead to reconciliation, but our team is committed to walking alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and we are very thankful to the communities who have trusted us to work together on various health and virtual care projects over the years.

The University of Queensland’s Reconciliation Action Plan is part of what guides us in continuing to build respectful relationships and improving our awareness and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures and history.

We encourage all to join us in celebrating this monumental celebration by reflecting on the origins of NAIDOC week, thinking about how you can engage with First Nations peoples, communities, and organisations, and contribute to reconciliation.
