Jaclyn Costello is a Clinical Pharmacist working at Redcliffe Hospital and PhD Candidate with the School of Pharmacy at The University of Queensland. Her PhD research is centred around clinical pharmacist services, exploring patient outcomes associated with post-discharge clinical pharmacist medication review in a hospital-based clinic.
Jaclyn has worked as a Clinical Pharmacist with Queensland Health since graduating from her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree, previously been accredited to undertake Medication Management Reviews, and spent 6 years in various roles on the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SHPA) Queensland Branch Committee, including Continuing Education Coordinator, Secretary and Vice Chair.
Jaclyn’s other committee roles include the Metro North Hospital and Health Service Allied Health Learning Committee, Redcliffe Hospital Research Committee and Arthritis Queensland Health Professionals Advisory Group. Her pharmacy practice areas of interest include, research, medication and patient safety, clinical pharmacy practice and education; and clinical practice areas of expertise include general medicine, chronic disease management, infectious diseases and rheumatology.
