Publons (Web of Science group) has recently announced the Global Peer-review awards for 2019. The cross-publisher awards “recognise global researchers for both the quality and quantity of their peer reviews.”
Professor Anthony C Smith, Centre for Online Health, The University of Queensland, was on the ten-person list of top editors by number of manuscript peer-reviews managed.
The top 10 handing editors calculated by number of verified editor records submitted to Publons between 1 September 2018 - 1 September 2019 and with decision dates in that period. Each editor record represents a manuscript for which the editor managed the peer review process before an editorial decision was made.
Professor Anthony Smith is the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare. He was ranked second on the global awards list.
