Goondir Health opens new Chinchilla Health Centre

28 March 2022

Chinchilla locals now have more options when booking a healthcare appointment, after Goondir Health Services opened their new clinic on 17 March 2022.

The recent official opening of the Chinchilla clinic coincided with National Closing the Gap Day. The opening brought together many of Goondir Health Service’s partners in a day of community celebration.

The Health-e-Regions program team from the University of Queensland’s Centre for Online Health was invited to attend, and present an exhibition booth to promote the telehealth services. The Health-e-Regions program provides allied health (telehealth) services to schools and health services in the Western Downs region of Queensland. Goondir is one of the key partners involved in the program, funded by Shell GGC.

UQ Centre for Online Health and the Health-e-Regions program sincerely congratulates Goondir Health Services on the opening of their new Chinchilla clinic. We look forward to our continuing partnership working together to improve access to health services and achieve improved health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in community.

The Health-e-Regions program is delivered by The University of Queensland’s Centre for Online Health and proudly supported by Shell QGC and their joint venture partners Tokyo Gas and CNOOC.
